Think a brand-new home doesn’t need a home inspection? This new construction inspection had a couple of surprises waiting in the bathroom. First, we found an elongated toilet seat installed on a round toilet. Close enough? Apparently. 😂 Then came the real showstopper… 🔥 The toilet was connected to the HOT water supply. Yes, hot water. To the toilet. You could actually see steam coming off the bowl. On the bright side, if you’re planning on installing a bidet, I guess the water is already preheated. 😂 Funny? Absolutely. But it’s also a great reminder that even brand-new homes can have plumbing mistakes, installation defects, and finishing issues that are easy to overlook during construction.
