Here’s today’s home inspection tip:

Never rely on attic insulation markers alone. During a new home inspection in southwest Edmonton, the insulation marker appeared to show more than 14 inches. When the insulation was physically measured nearby, the actual depth was only about 8 inches. Insulation can be unevenly distributed, and markers do not always represent the true depth throughout the attic.

Tip Tuesday takeaway: A proper attic inspection should include measurements in multiple locations – not just a quick look at the markers. Missing or uneven insulation can contribute to heat loss, higher energy bills, uncomfortable rooms and attic moisture concerns. Trust – but always verify.

Right tools, Right training, The Right Choice.
