Happy Tip Tuesday Everyone! What are you tackling on your to-do list? With more time available to us as Homeowners and investors its a great opportunity to take a closer look at the maintenance items that you have not had the time to address!
When was the last time you looked at your bath fans?
This week we are zooming in and reviewing the bath fan. How do they operate and what can you do to assure they are functioning optimally? What can happen if you don’t attend to your bath fan?
1. If you have a lot of sediment on the fan blade itself, it could lead to premature failure of the bearing as the motor will be working harder than it needs to.
2. Inside the fan housing, there is a little damper, a door that opens and closes when the fan engages. If there is a build-up of dust it won’t be opening and closing freely as it should. If this occurs the fan won’t extract moist air from the bathroom to the exterior.
